Micromax A116 Canvas HD has been the ‘most in demand’ phone in history of Micromax company. As we had reported earlier that the phone will be initially available for sale exclusively on Micromax official website on Februrary 14, but due to limited quantity of stocks, the phone is already sold out! Literally, no stock is left. Micromax partnered with online retailer Snapdeal to process orders/purchases of Canvas HD, but the order page currently displays in bold – SOLD OUT. We don’t know how many phones were sold in actual and how many of quantities were available for sale, so we can’t actually comment on the ‘amount of demand’ thing or whether this is marketing tactics. We’ve reached out to Micromax for official words on the quantity of stocks that were up for sale, and we’re awaiting their reply.
Micromax A116 Canvas HD price is set at Rs.13,990 INR. The initial stock is sold out so those who couldn’t made their purchase have to now wait for few more days for general availability of Canvas HD phone. We expect the phone to be available soon in stores as well as on online shopping sites, probably by February 22. 
It was widely rumored that Canvas HD doesn’t have light sensor, but since the official specification page is now available, we’re certain that Canvas HD contains all these sensors – Proximity sensor, Motion sensor, Gravity sensor, Light sensor. User-available internal storage capacity of phone is 1.77GB. 8 megapixel rear camera can shoot 720p HD videos only, not full HD (1080p). On most of phone related websites, it was published that the phone contains VGA front camera, but the official specification page lists 2mp front camera. It also has Bluetooth 4.0. Here is mention 4 GB memory what is means by (1.77GB user available) means user can only use 1.77 gb …please tel me what is this means …if in this mobile by default 4gb memonryD ..we should be use 3. something ..m i rite..when i c memory but its showing only 1.77..please wht is tht..
All these phone companies do not tell you the real available memory.. They just specify the total capacity of 4GB which is being also used by internal system files, so in the end, the user available space is reduced. For example, in Samsung Galaxy Grand, it has 8GB internal memory, but user available is way less, something close to 4GB.. This happens with most phones.. What’s advertised on paper, and what’s available – both are different.
