The wheel of leaks rolls faster, fiercer and bolder as it progresses towards release date of much-anticipated smartphone of this summer – LG G3. Since Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 didn’t bring much excitement, we have geared all our hopes and anticipation towards G3. To complement our craving, some of the official LG G3 press shots have been leaked (courtsey: Phonearena) in full detail which give us the closure we’ve been looking for, and boy, it’s impressive. It looks premium, striking. The phone will be released in three colors – black, gold, white/silver.
LG has also posted official teaser for LG G3 on YouTube. The teaser video really amps up our appetite to know more about the upcoming handset. “Simple is the new Smart” – That’s the marketing tagline or motto of the handset. I am not yet sure what this means for the handset or what it depicts about the handset. The metallic finish really looks attractive. Floating lens in the video promises improvement and advancement in the camera lens fitted in the upcoming flagship from LG. Dual led flash is also confirmed. There appears to be rear mounted speaker as well. Other confirmed specs include 2k screen resolution, 5.5 inches display, 3GB RAM. From the leaked benchmark reports, Snapdragon 801 chipset is likely the brain of this simply smart device.
LG G3 will be launched on May 27 as the company is holding launch events in San Francisco, New York, London, Istanbul, Seoul and Singapore. After the launch, it shall be released shortly worldwide as LG doesn’t want to lose sales to GS5 or HTC One M8 by delaying. Price is considerate factor in the success and we know that LG will compete aggressively here as well.
