Nokia Ahsa 501, the phone announced in May by Nokia, is up for pre-order online on eBay.in by a seller at price of Rs. 5,950. The eBay seller has also listed ways to get eBay discount on the price by upto Rs.450, by using appropriate coupon codes described in the description page of the listing on eBay. The phone was originally announced at official price of $99 USD. The eBay seller promises shipping from July 5th, 2013 onwards. The hardware specifications of Nokia Asha 501 is not very impressing, but the software and usability aspects are two main areas of focus by Nokia. It’s a dual sim device with easy swapping. It has 128mb internal memory with support for micro-sd card of upto 32gb, wifi, bluetooth, 3.15 megapixel camera. There is no front camera nor flash for the rear camera. The display is of 3-inches with resolution of 240*320 pixels. It comes with Nokia Asha Software Platform 1.0 with Swipe UI. It has Xpress browser pre-installed as well. Nokia has gone to the length of writing an article on usability aspect yesterday on its conversation blog where it has listed:

It has mere 1200mAh battery but it promises talktime of 17hrs, music playback time of 56hrs, standby time of upto 26days.
