Companies like Samsung never stops. Android ecosystem has developed a distinct yet common trend among dominant manufacturers i.e. to launch several smartphones with almost similar specs and minor variations. So, here goes another two smartphones announcement by Samsung, Galaxy Young and Galaxy Fame. Both these phones are entry-level Jelly Bean android phones and available in two variants i.e. single sim, dual-sim support, depending upon the market/country. Dual Sim support also comes with Always on Feature so that calls to one sim are forwarded to other sim card when you’re busy on the other one. Both the phones have 1GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage with support for micro-sd card of upto 32GB, screen resolution of 480*320 pixels on capacitive touch screen display, 3G (7.2mbps), WiFi, GPS, 1300mAh battery. So, the main differences between the two phones are in the screen size as Galaxy Young has smaller screen size of 3.27 inch whereas Galaxy Fame has screen size of 3.5-inch, and camera as Galaxy Young has 3mp rear camera without flash and no front camera whereas Galaxy Fame has 5mp rear camera with flash and VGA front facing camera. So, the latter supports 3G video-calling also due to the presence of front camera, but the video recording quality is of VGA type in both the phones.So, Samsung Galaxy Fame is higher on every front in comparison to Galaxy Young, except the amount of RAM as Galaxy Fame contains 512mb of RAM whereas Galaxy Young contains 768mb of RAM. So, this is really weird combination of specification here. Also, in Samsung Galaxy Fame, we’ve NFC support in limited markets.

Galaxy Young, Galaxy Fame – Price, Release Date
The prices of Galaxy Young and Fame have not been revealed nor the release date i.e. market availability, but both the phones are expected to arrive soon in market. In India, we hope dual-sim variant will be released because Indian markets have always been inclined towards dual-sim phones. As has been the case earlier with few other Samsung phones, both the variants may be launched in India to meet all consumers’ choice. S cloud and Samsung Game Hub Lite are also there (dependent on country). With Game hub lite, user can download optimized games for their devices. With S cloud, syncing and back up of devices will be convenient. The phones come with Motion UI. Galaxy young will be released in wine red, white, deep blue, and metallic silver colors. Galaxy Fame will be released in pearl white and metallic blue colors. Both the phones seem very much identical in design with slight differences in physical dimension and weight. Fame is thinner at 11.6mm thick & little heavier at about 120 grams in comparison to Young which weighs 112gms and is 12.5mm thick.
