As the press-invites around the globe from Samsung reaches doorstep of tech journalists, Samsung’s mobile division executive vice president, Lee Young-hee confirmed that they would be introducing a new wearable concept device called Galaxy Gear at their event in Berline on September 4, alongwith official launch of much-awaited Galaxy Note 3. But don’t get your hopes high for the yet-mysterious Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch as it will not yet feature flexible display, as confirmed by Samsung executive.
So, Galaxy Gear seems to be like-those Sony smartwatches, kind of a companion accessory for your smartphone which could be paired with your android phone. As per rumors mill, it will feature 2.5-inches square OLED display, dual-core processor, bluetooth, NFC and wi-fi support. It won’t come with SIM-card slot. More details, confusion – all will be cleared on 4th September.
About Galaxy Note 3, high-res images from ET Trade Supply has come to surface which indicates the display of size 5.68-inches and very thin side bezel of just 2.2mm. Other rumored data include Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz or Samsung Exynos Octa 5, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, 13mp camera and huge battery (north of 3400mAh). Also, it will come with the latest flavor of android i.e. 4.3. As usual, we’ll see improvements in S Pen and other Note-series features.
4 September is not very far from today, but these rumored and leaked details do not excite me anymore. I hope Samsung could come up with something really compelling in upcoming devices!
